General comments
Geen antibiotica starten voordat biopt/punctie is afgenomen. Hiervan mag alleen worden afgeweken indien de klinische toestand van de patient dit verreist.
Bij sepsis/ernstig zieke patiënt gentamicine 5 mg/kg 1dd gedurende 3-5 dagen toevoegen.
Antibiotica aanpassen op geleide van kweek.
Duur: 4-6 weken. Evt. switch naar oraal na 1 week intraveneuze therapie aan de hand van de kweekuitslagen en klinische verbetering
